Yikes.
Yep, Christmas got me. I spent a week eating pretty much whatever I wanted, including cookies, cheesecake, candy, chips, ALLLLL the junk. I worked out a couple of times for about 30 min. each. And this is the result. It's not a surprise, but it does suck. I know I won't have a problem getting things back on track, so I'm not worried.
The interesting thing is, it feels like it was totally worth it. It felt nice to spend a week not worrying about every bite, and eating just 'cause I wanted to.
But better yet is that now it is totally out of my system. All I have wanted to eat since we got home is real food that makes my body feel good. The idea of more junk food is just kind of gross. I can't wait to start the new year on the right foot! Happy New Year, everybody!!! :)
By the way, I think my knee is mostly recovered from whatever was bugging it before (I think it was my IT band). I went running yesterday, and it felt AMAZING. I missed it a lot, but I'm glad I listened to my body and gave it the rest it needed to heal and recover. Gotta get back on track for marathon training now, though...
