today was a good day, and yes that implies the past two weeks where not.
I can tell you off all the things i have done right, and the few things that i have done wrong. but at the end of the calculation, im back where i ended two years back.
Still down 20 kilo, mind you, but my scale wont budge, and the way im going now it never will...
Doing right a day, doing right two days. One slip and im back where i started. Working out as hard as i can, upping all weights, goals and targets... but then i come home and take an extra sandwich... just one with a little bit of butter no more then 100 kcal over budget... still back where i started.
So i had a screw-you-day. I ate so much i almost burst, with all the bad stuff: chocolate, chips, pie, hamburger and pizza... one day later, back where i started (not even up!!!)

This is so frustrating. I can only get this weight off if im going to be dedicated and consistent about it, but i know i cannot do that for the rest of my life (i love chocolate too much) and i cannot bring myself to do it for even more then two days in a row...

What about all those people that say: change your lifestyle and the weight will come off.... well i eat 300-400 grams of veggies each day, no more then 80 grams of meat, enough protein (about 100) an average of about 1500-1600 kcal a day, i work out every other day for at least two hours. My lifestyle has changed drastically, just 92 kilo two years back, and 92 kilo today...

I want to change, im just not sure what to change...

Puhpine1, I feel ya! I seem to be in the same circumstance...I feel like my scale is taunting me and saying, "No matter what you do, I'm not gonna budge"!!! I was down 5 #'s by my 2nd weight in, and after that, i went back up, and its not budged! I've been on LCHF for about 6 wks and the 16/8 IF for a wk and half. Like you I'm looking for things to change...gonna try digestive enzymes since I dont have a gallbladder. And getting back on BP coffee, thats when I saw weight loss, and not so much since I've stopped it?? Will let you know if the enzymes help!

We all have those days, my friend always tell me that eating salad for one whole day will not make you skinny and the opposite of that is going all out and have all the junk for one day will not make you fat. It's the consistent efforts day after day. I love chocolate too - if this will help, I will buy a choccie, take a huge bite (only 1 but as big as one mouthful can handle) and then handover to my hubby and daughter to do the rest.......maybe try that?

I reckon three things are helping me: 1. The testosterone replacements. Ever since July this year my weight stopped plateauing and began going down again and, 2. Recording everything here on Fatsecret and 3. Having a protein-rich, fibre-rich chocolate "mousse" each day. This mousse thing really works for me. The recipe is: 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder, 1.5 tbsp psyllium husk powder, 12 drops liquid sweetener, 15g pea protein powder, tiny pinch salt, few drops of vanilla and 3/4cup ice cold water. This I put in an individual blender jug and blend until smooth and eat it with a spoon, straight away. It is quite yummy, gives me a good chocolate hit and the psyllium powder swells and fills me up. The pea protein is also very satisfying. I do not feel hungry after this. I need to drink more water afterwards, because the psyllium can be drying as it swells. Calories: 118kcal, 13.6g protein, 13.3g fibre. I bought a blender that has 4 jugs included. I prepare another mousse without the fibre until I am about to eat it. Then it is ready for later when I am hungry or tempted. The fibre swells so much that it is best to blend it just before you eat it. I still crave carbs and sweets. But it is less than it used to be.
