Well, my surgery gets closer and closer. I had a nice dinner, after fasting most of the day, over at Yiannis Greek in Claremont. Funny, the guy says his credit card machine is down, and asks if I have cash. I had about 4 courses and a glass of wine. Food was pretty good. Meat was a bit tough. There is a real nice place in Ontario, near Ontario Mills, but that was 15 miles away, and I wanted to support our community. Have a great day, everyone. I hope you like the pics! I had the last item on this menu, Gyros! .....and finally the dessert, which was small, but really tasty!

The food looks good, Warren, but I agree, it is woefully overpriced. Ah, the price you pay for living in SoCal! I lived in Sandy Eggo in the 70'and 80's. Back then, it was LA's poor cousin. I left when it became LA's pretentious, wannabe cousin.

Char actually it is Waikiki, Oahu. I have a timeshare there at the Waikiki Banyan, it is one of the few that has parking down there too, which is really nice. We may hop an island, not sure. XssX, I was reading about your GI issues. The endoscopies are weird going through you mouth. I liked the Xanax though. lol Kes, Thanks, I just ate dinner at the Argo Mediterranean Grill, walking distance from my house, and it was delicious and around $15. JMA, you're welcome, and thank you!

Wow I went to the Yiannis in Virginia Beach a few years ago and the prices were like 2/3 of that and we found that expensive compared to the locally owned Greek places. Glad you enjoyed it though. Good luck on the surgery Warren.

Char, I have been to Kaneohe many times. I love the Poly Cultural Center. The dinner shows are so nice. Actually, I feel Oahu, in particular, has been my home away from home. I was actually hoping to move there at one time. At one time, I would visit every year. I am curious why you finally decided to sell?

Interesting, that I was introduced to Hawaii playing football, and we played U of Hawaii before they built the stadium. We called it the "chicken coop", where we played. It had lots of chicken wire in the stands. Never forget the people would walk in the locker room as the players showered, after the game. Then, when we went to the bars for the night, our players picked up transvestites thinking they were girls. Turned those guys white, I will tell you. lol
