Haven't been able to put myself to work out or watch what I eat as I was intending, been having a terrible amount of stress and frustration at work. I have changed jobs yesterday and should have more time for myself with the new one.

On a side note, I think I am over-thinking about getting ready for dieting, as I don't want to fall into obsession like it did a few years ago (it was my top preoccupation, and it made me ignore all the other aspects of my life, from college to health). But in the same time, I feel like this fear is becoming obsessive a bit as well, and is keeping me from wanting to focus on what and how much I eat. Does anybody know what I mean, does anybody have any advice for this?

I know exactly what you mean. I've done and been in that exact same situation time and time again. It's funny how you can end up isolating family and friends because of this obsession. I've always struggled with my weight. I've been thin and then just get tired of the struggle and regain it all. I know this may not solve your problem but just know you ar not alone this is a real struggle.

I guess I get obsessive about the "weight loss project" but not to the extent that you are describing. Perhaps you could make a decision to deal with this project at certain times of day and then put it aside while you deal with the rest of your life. Set limits, in other words. Otherwise there is less incentive to for you to reach your goals because then you'll have this big hole in your life where you used to have all your energy focused.

Don't log anything. Just step on the scale today. For one week, eat no sugar, bread, or potatoes. Then step on the scale one week from today. Can't hurt.

when you pick a plan to follow..over time it becomes a habit the better you follow it...the better the results...if you fall off the plan you just refocus an pick up where you left off...the longer you stick with the plan the easier it becomes to follow it...
