lol! Just remember that waking up earlier means going to bed earlier. I get up at 4:30 every morning to go to the gym, but then I'm in bed by 9 pm

do the morning.. I switched to the morning because I was getting lazy and rather cook dinner and spend time with my boyfriend in the evenings. In the morning on my gym days I wake up at 5:55 am- get dressed. I cook breakfast for my boyfriend and I and we both leave at 6:30- he goes to work I get to the gym by 6:45ish. I then workout until 8 ish... then I shower at the gym and leave for work form the gym around 8:30. I get to work sometimes at 9:00am or 8:50 am depending on traffic.
It works really well for me. I never seem to lack motivation going to the gym in the morning because 1- I get it over with 2- My BF is already at work and I might as well do it so I can spend time with him later and cook a meal after work. 3- I get more time in the evenings for other activities. 4- I dont feel rushed to leave work to get to the gym early enough
That was the biggest thing for me. I hated working out in the evening that I would get home so late...cook dinner and then I barely have enough time to read a book before bed!!
I think 5:30 am sounds fine. It all depends on communte time etc. Just give it a try and see how the timing works

i work out in the morning, if i waited until evening i would never do it! i get up at 4:20, work out 4:30-6, make lunch/catch up on news until 6:30, then off to work at 7:30. so yes, it can be done but you'll have to train yourself to get up earlier than you're used to. guess you'll just have to try both options and see which works best for you.

What kind of workout are you doing that needs 90 minutes? I go to the gym before work and have everything ready the night before.

exactly! I pack my gym bag the night before too.. I leave it in the car. In the morning I just get changed- make breakfast and make sure my dogs are good and I am off to the gym

Jorge, I do 20-30 min of HIIT m then 50min to 1 hr of weight lifting. I already back by bag at night, lay out my clothes, set the coffee maker and pre measure my pre and post shakes. I would add in lying out my work clothes and packing my lunch the night before as well.. And I would need some kitty time too LOL . I agree berly, after a long day at work I sometimes dont want to do anything least of all work out. LOL

My trainers from have us do HIIT after we lift as it is supposed to burn more fat.

I do it before bc I need to warm up since I work out in the am and still am kinda foggy and since Im trying to lean out more instead bulk up the trainer at my gym told me to do it that way, also I dont think I would do it at all if I had to lift first. I would be to tired.

I am out driving from client to client in my job. Many days I eat edimomie for lunch which is protein and keeps me going. I get a bag with 8-10 individual bags. I throw one in the microwave, put in a bowl & I am all set. Easy even on the road if I need to. They can be used with or without salt. Not
Only is it easy, but I have learned to really like them. Just a suggestion.

This is a good time of year to experiment with early rising, as the sun is up so early, and the "boids are choipin" by 4:15.

I wake up at 4:10 every day. It's an adjustment, but I've done both evening and morning, and can say I prefer mornings. Might just be something to try both ways and see what you like better and what fits in your life better!

Hi redgirl1974 - I go to a class at 6pm, three days a week. I'm not an early morn person either. Some friends I know are up and working out at 5 am! Getting up early is always peaceful tho I find, but for now that's what I do. Good luck to you working out your new schedule.

Hmmm...I always do weight work first and HIIT either after - or in between sets of lifting.
|
I am in a class format with a trainer but he lets me do whatever station I want to do rather than follow the whole class process.
