Happy Summer Solstice for all us Northern Hemisphere inhabitants (Winter Solstice for everyone else I suppose).
I feel quite good this morning. My wound is weeping less as each day passes and as long as I continue the painkillers then the discomfort is manageable.
It is raining heavily at the moment but at least it is warm rain. Having just typed that a sliver of blue sky has just appeared in the corner of the view from my window.
Weight still coming off, even though I am over my RDI each day. The body must use a huge amount of energy as it heals itself. I won't complain about that.

The Summer Solstice is the longest day, but the scientific solstice is when the Sun passes directly above the equator. Athens actually has two longest days. Both the 20th and 21st of June, 2016, are the same length between sunrise and sunset!

I never heard of a strawberry moon before! Just looked it up - says it came from Algonquin Indians, who used the June full moon as a signal to gather fruit. Glad you're feeling better, John!
