Sorry you are having a bad day. If you work out a lot, make sure you remember that your muscles retain water to help them heal. This shows on the scale as a temporary gain. Google "why the scale lies" for insight (if you haven't read it yet). Stick with it, its worth it in the end.

Celery, pork rinds, cucumber? Hang in there. It IS interesting that sometimes we want a certain texture that is hard to work into our food plan.

On the contrary, if you work muscles they can bulk on water VERY quickly. 4 or 5 pounds worth if your larger framed as well. If I were to do a full body day at the gym, I would EASILY hold 3 pounds of water in my muscle tissue. MORE if I took creatine monohydrate. so don't be hard on yourself. Your good.
|
I don't have a large frame. I am trying to gain muscle and work on fat loss at the same time. I do a little creatine as well as other things pre-strength training workout. I just have big goals and want everything NOW!! LOL! Thanks for all the support gang! One of the reasons I like fat secret is there seems to be more interaction among the members. We may not all be on the same workout programs and dietary philosophies but we understand the value of supporting each other onour journeys

That's why I love it here. Diversity of thought makes for wisdom shared. <--- I just coined that. lol. But Creatine could be the culprit. You really don't need it unless your competing. It does NOTHING but fill your cells with water. So you are intentionally retaining water. That is the SOLE purpose of Creatine.
|
I am not using creatine as a stand alone product - It is a blend with glutamine, leucine etc. But I know that one item, creatine, can cause water retention. So can the strength training. And I am competing this fall in a transformation competition so I working to gain muscle and lose fat.

Awesome. Then do keep up the good work. Make sure you get pics for us. And the one thing I still eat that is FF is a Wendy's Double Baconator with cheese. NO BUN, No Tomato and a side salad with Italian Dressing. Yum.

Yeah we won't be doing the fast food restaurants too much - This past weekend was a wee bit frustration. That professionals feature is in progress any my coaches can see what I am doing now LOL!

I love the "professionals" feature on here. My trainer still has permission to view it all.

I have one person with the meal planning now and the other with my exercise programming and they work with each other. I have big goals

For crunchy snacks, I like the small cucumbers sliced very thin and dressed with oriental spiced rice vinegar. I have never tried to figure out the calorie count but know it's minimal and I find it satisfies my need for crunch. Know you have done very well. Hang in there.

Agree with Knuckles - if you must do FF Wendy's is probably your best choice and throw out the bun. But yeah, I try to avoid them entirely.
