Brunch was more of the chicken caldo washed down with a lot of coffee.

Rode 50 minutes, 10.92 miles, burning 401 calories on the exercycle.

Yesterday's lunch was a banana and peanut butter sandwich wilk a glass of milk.

Dinner was a chicken caldo with beans added and a couple hardboiled eggs to boot!

This 4 days away, including the 3 buffet visits and no exercise bike, showed me just how easy it would be to balloon out of control again. Next time we go I will make sure that our hotel has an exercise facility with the stationary bikes, as well as a buffet! I believe the Aquarius does, in fact I know it does, it was right by the McDonalds I seem to remember. Even with those buffet pigouts included in the equation, if I had ridden by bike everyday, I am confident that instead of gaining almost 10 pounds, it would have been at the most around a four pound gain.

I have confidence in my plan and am sure that once my metabolism kicks up a notch with my exercycle riding, I will drop back down to my normal 170-175 pound range. Problem is that the 4 days away set into my 61 year old legs and the easy first ride back on resulted in a little hamstring stiffness so I am having to reacclimate myself again.

Speaking of buffets, here is my rating for the three we visited this trip.

Worst and this is by far, a 2 on the 10 scale:
Edgewater Grand Buffet- poorly lit, aged decor, claustrophobic almost despite its size, bland food with only turkey at the carving station and my girlfriend said it was very dry, creamed spinach very watery, lots of mushy meat referring to the chicken and pulled pork- but the desserts were okay. We will never go back. The best thing was our server, Ruben, who was great. He should go work at a better restaurant, he's too good for this dive.

Next best. a 7 on the 10 scale:
Primm Valley Buffet- good selection except not enough veggies to suit me, meats were cooked well with interesting sauces, perfect desserts, good service.

The best, 10 on the 10 scale:
Windows Buffet at the Aquarius in Laughlin:

Great service with the server having no problem clearing a table by the window for us, great selection including cheese blintzes and just look at that beautiful pie slice above, fantastic view obviously plus great seating up near the foodlines, lots of variety at lunch even breakfast items, food cooked great, no issues at all, can't wait to go back!!!
