the Super Spartan Race sounds very similar to the Warrior Dash that we have here. I'm hoping to participate next year. As for the life drama - it's a little bit weird why your friend A doesn't want you date her sister. Why? Does she know some dark secret about you and doesn't want her sister to get hurt by you? How old is the sister? Or is A very attracted to you herself and it'd hurt her to see you dating??? But wait, she's married. What does A's sister think of you? How come she's not allowed to decide for herself?

And no, don't give up on dating! Finding the right person in the end is totally worth the pain of getting there.

It sounds like your friend has feelings for you and is incredibly jealous of what you and her sister may have. I used to date my friends older brother - it was against her wishes but she did come around to it when she saw we were happy together. Have you asked why she doesn't want you are around, flirting or maybe sparking more with her sister?

All valid questions. She doesn't say anything about why she is against me and her sister except that it's her sister. She's a very passive aggressive person and doesn't talk about things that are troubling her inside. I feel bad for her husband cause he wants to help but she won't talk about it. The sister I think is 27 so not a huge age difference. Well on the cruise A's sister seemed very interested and was open to all my advances. We kissed and held hands and all that cute stuff. A's sister has her own issues as she still hangs around with her ex and thus isn't over him even though they aren't dating. She told me she wouldn't be ready to date me because of that...which was after the cruise. I haven't heard from the sister at all since A told her to never talk to her or me ever again. It's sad the way things go. I thought A would get a bit upset and then get over it but not to the point of completely disowning her sister.
The Spartan Race is exactly like the Warrior Dash. I am planning on doing the Spartan Sprint, Warrior Dash and Super Spartan next year.

If your friend is married, then who you have a relationship with isn't really any of her business. If I were you, I will still pursue the sister, and your friend A will just have to get used to the idea. Especially if she can't really come up with a valid reason for her objections.... Perhaps I am seeing it in too much of a simple way.

For a grown woman, this A person seems to be acting quite immature. You probably should have (if you didn't) confessed to having real feelings for her sister (not just I want to get in her pants feelings) and maybe she would've felt better about it. I hate mixing friends and sibilings it normally doesn't end up well, but I'd never disown someone for doing it. She's handling it in the worst way possible. I'd call the sister, what do you have to lose now? Or move on! There are so many other girls out there who'd love to date you I am sure of it!
