sonnymac's Journal, 26 Mar 16

This morning I had a large chicken breast, calabasa, chayote and a fried plantain. Yummy! Highly recommended, especially if you have blood sugar concerns.

Rode 47:05 minutes, 9.1 miles, burning 334 calories on my exercycle after eating.

I have my semi-annual blood labs and doctor visit coming up in mid-April so I reduced my weight goal to 167 pounds. When they weigh me with clothes etc, I should come in at 170.

Very interested in the A1C which may be up a little considering the recent buffet visits where I rediscovered my sweet tooth.

Anyway another down morning.

I hope so too. How often do you weigh in? I do it every morning but many do it weekly.

Watch out! I hear chayote will take over. I also hear that it puts out a lot of fruits. Well technically, gourds. It is from the gourd family. These are a staple in some New Orleans cooking, known as mirilton down there.

You are correct about it taking over, and my friends fruit are huge. She has it growing on a chain link fence, and it covers all of it well. I ate some she cooked and it tasted great. Good luck on your diet. Happy Easter!
