Thought I should say hello. I'm a 75, single Australian woman, who doesn't exercise at all, I work from home as an author so sit in front of a computer all day. I need to lose at least 17g (37lbs). Always been a well-padded woman but recent cancer medication saw my weight skyrocket. Thankfully I've changed meds and hope I can get back under 100kg, ideally I'd be happy to reach 95kg.

Best of luck Suzy. The medications make it hard, so be patient. My son is with me tonight, so I ate too much, but I don't care.

Hi Suzy. Something that has helped me has been going for regular walks. When I was first diagnosed with heart failure about two years ago I could barely walk 100m. My weight ballooned (I was also on a lot of meds). Steady walking now a few times a week. Now up to a few kms at a time. Even the odd bushwalk. Just take it slow and be kind to yourself.

@Rochman8 - great idea except the meds, side-effects from radiotherapy, and arthritis in my feet, mean I have enough trouble just walking to my letter-box and back...lol
