Return to NB after 25 years, reunion with old family. Ultimately some significant changes, but the people remain the same in the best way possible!! I'm going to miss Starbucks asking if I want my Pumpkin Spice Latte hot or cold...I also never did eat the food in this picture, too many conversation.

NB Canada?

Yes indeed, New Brunswick or Nouveau Brunswick if you will. It was amazing, and has not changed all that much, thanks to the amazing people who still live there and it's hospitable, polite, nature.

I live in Miramichi, we moved here 1 year ago. I was brought up in Oromocto, after our military postings we settled again in Oromocto working in Fredericton. I miss home.

So Shelley, which home do you miss? I live in New Westminster BC currently. I felt such peace and calm when being back in NB, it's like a whole different world, calm and laid back. And driving or being a pedestrian is like a dream. MOST people there have a respect for one another, people holding doors open for an additional 5 seconds as you approach, responding to your thank you, and just a general sense of engagement. Any place in our fine country that exists on this level is good for our spirit.

There’s a lot of people, places and things in Fredericton that I miss very much. I’m afraid that Miramichi isn’t what we’d hoped it would be.

Yes, NB’ers are pretty courteous. That’s why after all our globe trotting we settled here.

I think the smaller the community, the tougher the transition. I grew up in the Village of Hampton. It was interesting moving to a big city with the naivety of a small town person. I was saying hello to everyone for months before I stopped. I think big city to small town is a much harder transition overall.

Hampton is such a pretty little town, I have a dear friend that grew up there. She lives in Freddy now and has for a number of years.
