Laziliy recording less, but keeping an eye on what I eat most days and making sure I keep weighing. I certainly find that the watching what calories foods have in them has changed my eating habbits over all. I serve up less pasta for myself now, and take a roast potato or so less than before. I snack less or on more 'healthy' or lower calorie options. Looking forward to the wine tonight though, after Dry January each glass is lovely!

It is definitely working for you. Out of everything....calories make sense to me and I would rather have a whole plate of good food, than a couple of squares of chocolate.....tbh I also feel that way about alcohol, I prefer food so much more. Believe me I have drunk enough in my past to sink ships, but now it doesn't interest me...which is good otherwise I would have a serious problem trying to keep within my calorie limits.

It is not the alcohol that bothers me. It is the "kebab effect" that alcohol induces. Most Scotsmen want to fight after a drink. I just want to eat!

I still not had a drink after dry Jan, but fully intend to par take tomorrow. I have just increased my calorie intake,as I completely plateaued, on day three so far, 3 pounds on and two off so far, which is OK, body needs time to adjust, but somloving eating a wee bit more. I will have to watch out for the 'kebab effect' tomorrow too.
