My blog

Breakfast was 4 fried eggs, ham, grits and 2 slices whole wheat toast. Washed down with a pot of coffee.

Rode the exercycle for 36 minutes, 6.83 miles and burning 251 calories.

Lunch was a big tablespoon of peanut butter, a small but tasty gala apple washed down with a cup of milk.

Who knows what my girlfriend is working on for tonight.

Me very bad at the buffet yesterday afternoon. That's the bad news. The good news is I hit at a slot machine and walked away a winner!

Anyway the blowout started with a bowl of beef barley soup, 90%beef.

Followed by a plate ofbeef brisket, prime rib, Italian sausage and roast turkey breast.

Then scalloped potatoes, brussels sprouts, creamed spinach with basil,2 pork loin chops, baked fish and about a third of a corn on a cob. B.S's didn't taste good and didn't finish the fish either.

Then I had 2 of these chocolate pie slices.

Followed by a scoop of mocha ice cream made in house.

Exercise results to follow later this morning.

The weigh in pic. 2.6 pound weight gain.

You should have a food porn warning on those photos! LOL I live in Reno and those casino buffets ALWAYS make me gain, even when I'm very careful what I eat and don't overdo. I think it's the extra sodium, MSG and food preservatives that aren't a part of my normal diet. Good news is that "weight gain" tends to go away in a couple of days.

Thanks guys! I admit maybe I didn't make the healthy choice gorging at the buffet but I know that it will be gone in a couple of days. Been doing this diet thing since last April and the buffet is pretty much the only time I pig out on desserts. I am prediabetic and know I shouldn't but damn it I ain't giving up chocolate. Just will only have it at the buffet ;-)

Love the food photo! Speaking of buffets...I just got back with a go-box from my favorite buffet...loaded with yakatori chicken,Mongolian beef, stuffed mushrooms, shrimp, some veggies and egg foo young patty...no rice noodles or fried stuff...I figure eat and enjoy what I can and don't even think about the other choices. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not...

OMG, Gross, pure gluttony, no surprise with the 172.8kg. You are what you eat and you did eat a lot of pig.

Wow Virgil, that was pretty mean. What's life if you don't have cheat days? I wholly believe in letting loose once in a while. If you can't be supportive, then why be here at all?

Virgil Troy, I thought Sonnymac had great control at an all you can eat buffet.

And Virgil you ate something very very bitter.

My apologies, I read the 172 as KG's and not LB's (were metric here). I reverse my earlier comment and say well done, that's a full on cheat meal. Hope it was good.

Forgive yourself, you're human, and move on.

You're the kind of guy I want to party with at the buffet! I haven't been to one in a while. What's that song? "Memories....of the way things used to be..." :)

Aside from the cake this looks remarkably similar to typical Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson daily meal.

Freedom of speech, isn't it great? Freedom to eat what you want without having to count the calories should be another right as well. Knowing what your body can handle and having a plan for how to make your goals work for you is good as well. Everybody is different but some truths are applicable to all imo. I try to lay off the sugar and that's why these blowouts only happen once or twice a month. Can't stay good all the time just most of the time;-)
