How do I stop overeating - I know I'm doing it, I watch myself do it - so how do i stop. A question for my subconscious - starting training again on monday, looking forward to it - I'll think about it then - wish me luck!

Good luck! For me, I plan exactly what I’m going to eat during the week, as otherwise when I wfh and I’m having a bad day I cannot stop myself from eating, even though I hate myself while I’m doing it. Then once I’ve broken the cycle I feel defeated and stop caring. Knowing exactly what I’m going to eat each day has really helped me, as I don’t need to think about it.

well, chewing gum (best if sugar free) helps me when I'm stressed in which I tend to overeat.. + good luck on your journey 🤍

complex carb and potato carb protein and big bowl of salad Just sharing the expert choice. I wish I could follow it too. started 10,000 daily steps. your training would also help to control your intake. good luck 👍

I can second YnCKk’s comment, for me it’s also much easier to make rational food choices one day in advance than when I’m hungry and nothing is planned.

(I'm not a doctor or dietitian. but this is what works for me) -buy the things you binge eat. only buy the food items for your lunch breakfast and dinner. - Buy skinny snack bars. Or small low calorie snacks to get your sweet fix. (don't deny your sugar fix. have your snacks but make sure they fit. if you allow yourself these treats you'll be less likely to overeat) -apple cider gummies. so far making me snack much less and feel more full with the meals I am eating. -zero calorie fizzy drinks. gives you that fix and fills your stomach. or, fruity teas! -make sure you are drinking plenty of water. at least 2 litres a day. -if it's savoury snacks you're over eating. try things like raw carrots with a small bit of low calorie dip. or celery. gives you the crunch as well as nutrition. -most importantly, confront your trauma. try shadow work or talking therapy. getting to the bottom of it will make you more in control of your emotions, and less likely to over eat. as I said, this isn't professional help. Just what I found has worked.
