Turns out you need fuel in your body in order to do weight lifting. I had to sit out and drink a cup of honey lemon ginseng tea. Yeppers.

OMG. I learned the same thing the hard way. I actually stopped in the middle of a workout, jumped in my car to hide and cried. Had to take an energy gel just to re-rack the weights. I learned that I'm just not one of those people who can lift on an empty stomach. Good luck, and now you know. :-)

It is called Bonking in the cycling world. Took me a long time to figure out it wasn't me being out of shape since it didn't happen to others about 45 min into intense activity like it does to me.

I drink six star protein before a workout, and make sure and drink water during, if i feel weak i eat a protein bar while lifting. Makes so much difference, i work harder, feel better, and sleep better, and i recover faster .
