ella !'s Journal, 23 May 24

I started my weight loss journey with calorie restriction and fasting for 16 hours daily and it was really hard, but I've managed to lose 10 pounds so far. I've gotten used to it now, and I'm not trying to eat less fat, very little sugar, and less carbs, which has also been a challenge, but I'm doing well! I'm now starting to go for daily walks for an hour and 45 minutes, and also started going to the gym as well (not both in one day, just one day walking, the next going to the gym). I'm kinda of clueless when it comes to going to the gym, but I've been looking for some guidance on that, I've mainly been doing cardio, and doing exercises that target my tummy mainly, but I know I'll need to burn fat other places too. If anyone has advice, I'd really appreciate it!

Combine lifting weights, cardio and diet for best results. Gym may be overwhelming at the start but everyone starts somewheres and people are way less judgemental than people think and respect people working on themselves. Utilize YouTube and educate yourself on where to start! Best of luck

Weights are the key, especially for women. Don’t worry about becoming “bulky”, build as much muscle as you can. Muscle tissue needs far more calories to fuel it, so the more muscle you build, overall the more calories your body will burn when you’re not exercising (at rest etc). Add muscle and keep eating as you are for best success. Start at low weight and over time add, focus on doing it properly. It’s a long game, but well worth it!! A strong body functions better as well, (lymphatic and immune system will be more efficient) Congratulations on your success so far!
