Do you have esophageal reflux or has a hiatal hernia been mentioned? You might try making a nutritionally dense smoothie, and even turn that smoothie into popscicles. The key is small amounts at a time, and stay upright for at least an hour after you eat. Worth a try till you can get some appropriate medical help.

Kenna Morton, yes, I have reflux but I've been throwing up food too. I thought it was what I was eating but sometimes I can eat the same thing and be fine and other times it comes up. It can even be 15 - 30 min. later. I was really sick there for awhile. The only thing staying down was apple slices, consomme soup and water. It feels like food is getting stuck in my throat. I know about the small bites and taking my time to eat but sometimes that doesn't even help. I've had 2 EDGs this year but they can't find anything and my doctor can't help. I found another doctor with a lot more experience, I've got an appointment in August. I'm doing much better now, I have more good days then bad. I actually got 2000 cal. down Wednesday. Usually it's 900 - 1000 and some days much lower. Thank you for asking and your supportive suggestions.

Iewiwall1—-do you have pain associated with these episodes? Are you taking an acid blocker like Over the counter Omeprazole? You might ask your doctor about a condition called distal esophageal spasm? You might look that up and see if you think that condition describes some of your symptoms. Did your GI doc suggest trying peppermint oil? There are a couple tests they can do for that condition— name escapes me at the moment, but it will probably show up in the literature. I hope your docs can continue to work to get you a treatable diagnosis.
