I have never had fresh figs...am I missing out? How do you prepare them to eat? what do they taste like?

But they’re only available in the early to late fall. The season is probably over by now but you could still look in grocery grocery stores like Whole Foods or central market.

Their mildly sweet with a crunch from the seeds and a nice fess from the skin. I eat the entire fruit, including the stem. For me there a delicacy only available in the late fall. I believe the season must be over by now.
