So I did it!
I hit my goal weight and exceeded it by a couple of pounds, too. 20lbs lost in total :)

Here are my observations and thoughts....

1) Slowly and surely is best... it's taken me just under a year to lose 20lbs
2) Do exercise, lots of it, you'll feel and look so much better inside and out
3) Diet is everything, it goes hand in hand with exercise and you won't see results unless you change your diet, you'll see amazing results if you do
4) Eradicate all processed food - eat only real food
5) Home cook everything
6) Swap fizzy drinks and squashes for water. After a while you won't want to drink anything but water
7) Try to get rid of stress, exercise will help
8) Get sleep and rest
9) Don't be disheartened, it's a slow process
10) Be kind to yourself, think happy, positive thoughts

Well done, and I do agree with all those comments, although not in that order. 7 & 8 )Stress/Sleep = Breathing exercises, to relieve stress or send you to sleep. look for 7/11 for relaxation and 4,7,8 to induce sleep. 11)Willpower this is possible because of 1 - 10

Thank you, they weren't in any particular order, just as they came to me. There is no getting around it, losing weight can only be done with exercise and being careful with what you eat. I agree, I forgot about willpower, although that becomes less of an issue the longer you stick at this. It's not about giving stuff up, it's about choosing what's right for your body, choosing to be kind to your body, choosing health! It's not a short term thing, it's a long term thing, these must be long terms habits. Do them and your body will return to its natural state.

I wholeheartedly agree. Would it be fair to say that those with the most to loose in weight, are the most motivated, but have the least will power. It just goes to show, when reading journals on here, that those who stick at, get more confidence and willpower over time. I am still praying for that day :D
