I feel like my weight is like a yoyo. I still keep under the calories, I'm getting usually at least 6-7k steps a day plus I am active on weekends and the weight is just going up and down. I feel like unless I'm starving myself then the numbers don't move.

Additional protein and fibre might help with that if you are low in either of those.

I find that my weight fluctuates depending on my carbs intake. I gain over the weekend as I consume more carbs. My weight goes down as I cut down the carbs during week days. I am not sure if this applies to you? Sleep is another factor that plays a role in weight loss.

Reminds me of Dr. Jason Fung YouTube video about the bodies set point. Your body does not want to move past that set point and will burn less or more to stay there. Worth googling the video.

Please don’t listen to Jason Fung. He has been debunked many times over for using cherry picked studies and unrepeatable data. No offence to you personally, but that is one pusher of misinformation that for some reason bugs me.

Hey Carly don’t worry you are not alone it’s always like this the number on scale go up and down what matters is how your clothes are fitting and did you loose size in the measuring tape is actual progress. If you drink more water you might weigh more salt intake increases the weight as well I used to deplete my water intake just because of the number in scale. Keep up your hard work you are doing great just have patience and keep going 🔥💪

Thanks everyone! It's been really encouraging to get some new perspectives and motivation. I am still going down in weight but I know I need to just push past the doubts and keep trucking. I don't really read a lot of diet or food blogs as I just like statistics while monitoring my diet but I am excited to keep working on this. It's only been a month and I need to keep focus and committed. You've all been a huge help!
