2 Lbs gone and 9 lbs to my goal of 112 lbs. Kind of feels surreal to be this close. Even so, 112 is just a place I chose to stop and re-evaluate my health. Since turning 50 I realized my fat was no longer evenly distributed but was centered mostly in my stomach. Even now, I still have quite a bit of fat to pinch on my tummy and I don't have near the overall muscle mass I had even in my 40's.
I remember my mom's shape changing as she grew older with her weight shifting to her belly. I also remember her health deteriorating. I've concluded it's not the weight on the scale that's important. It's the lean muscle to fat ratio I'm concentrating on. As far as knowing how to judge my healthy weight, I'm going to let my belly fat (or lack of) be the judge of that and I won't know that for sure till I get there.
Sorry I've been scarce. It's hard to sit here with my eyes watering. I'll be catching up with everyone when I heal up better.
