I'm running away from home today! Well, running is a bit of an exaggeration. I'm 58, overweight with arthritic hips and nerve damage at L3/4 in my spine. Nevertheless, I'm escaping from my adult, live at home children for a week ( they still squabble like when they were teenagers). I'm house/cat sitting for a week, she's stocked the fridge with healthy foods for me so will do my best to stick to my diet. Being away from my daughter's amazing but highly calorific cooking for a week will help. Most of all though, I'm looking forward to the peace and quiet. Being able to read without interruption, no fight for the bathroom or washing machine. I love my babies and their babies but damn, the youngest is pushing 30, I thought they'd be gone by now 😂 Anyway, that's my ramble over. Keep pushing for those goals, just keep it realistic and remember it's only failure when you give up.
