I really have weak joints. What is a super powerful supplement for joints? I love to exercise but whenever I do, I end up needing to just stop cause I start to walk like a old lady. 😖 - resulting me in turning for food, cos I’m no longer having dopamine release in workout and additionally bored… destroying all my diet efforts… 😪 help!!!!

Warm up before you workout. Consider warming up like adding oil to a creaky door joint. Start off slow and build up. I also heard turmeric, fish oil, are good anti inflammatories. Just remember to start off slow and build strength. Feel better!

I work 7 days a week on concrete (dog hotel), Doberman busted my knee (dr said 5 yrs back I need two knee replacements--did not do anything), I have zero pain even with piece of floater bone, and think that starting collagen back about 6 yrs ago works. I do add trumeric here and there to foods or lattes. At workin minimum of 5 miles a day, yesterday was almost 9 miles.

do you stretch before you lift? that helps if you do and foam roll and stretch afterwards

I am 71 and only rarely have any joint pain. I've walked mostly treadmill for 20 years and strength work last 10ish. still only at 30lb squats but working on it. i drink Collagen and MSM in my green tea every day and take 4000mg of a good omega 3 supplement - you could just eat a bunch of fish. the O3 is for my heart health, but since it manages inflammation, I know it's helping joints stay good as well. good luck!!

bone broth is supposed to be really good for joints, amongst other things.

All that on supplements and add regimented stretching. One of the areas most people neglect to take care is the fascia, or connective tissue throughout your body. I’ve brought crap knees back three times after injury by working on the surrounding muscles and tendons (backwards treadmill walking, anyone?) and to protect my joints. If your pain is debilitating, get to a doctor to see if you have any type of degenerative arthritis going on because if you do, then you don’t want to contribute further and may need to modify your exercises with a PT. Not medical advice, based on my own experiences only, but i have avoided surgery so far despite having it been recommended over 30 years ago. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt, but i am functional and i walk a lot. Also make sure you’re wearing the right shoes for the activity and toss them in a timely manner. Learned that one the hard way. Google human fascia and/or connective tissues. It’s a fascinating topic very few trainers talk about in depth.

@ajbusjahn - Thank You. I’ve always struggled with this issue since a kid. I remember at sports subject in school, even though we always had the initial warm up, but at the end of the class, especially if it was gymnastics I used to have a lot of pain in my joints, even more so in the wrists back then. Thank you so much for your input.

@Kennyn27 That’s something I actually haven’t been doing, so I will try to do that and have some warm up but generally speaking my workout is mainly cardio. I either am walking or I ride bicycle.. I don’t do liftings. I’ve always struggled with this even at school, despite always doing an initial warm up… at the end of the class, especially if it was gymnastics I used to have a lot of pain in my joints, specially around my wrists. I wonder if I have some genetic predisposition in joints. Thank you so much for taking time to give me your insight.

@Ginsin thank you. You’re not the first to mention collagen. That’s probably exactly what I need. Going to definitely give a try. 🤗

@RN16 I don’t do heavy lifting, but I tend to do exercise for a long time specially, bicycle for like one to two hours, but I will actually add a warm up…. Though I suspect I have some kind of genetic issue.

@SharonEsq thank you so much for such detailed help. I think I will take everything that you’ve mentioned. Incredible that at your age you are this active and not have any joint pain. That’s really amazing! I’m hoping this will be the answer to my problems. 😅 Again, Thank You.

@ZenusWarriorPrincess - Need to do that as well. 👍🏼 Does that contain many calories tho? 😅

@davidsprincess 😂😂😂😂😂 I’m happy about that.

@katsolo Sounds really interesting. It’s true, I rarely hear people talk about the fascia, in fact, it’s the first time I’ve seen that word. Thank you so much for educating me. Perhaps you’re right, and maybe I should be seen by a doctor just to figure out if this is just nutrition deficiency, excessive workout or something more on a genetic level. Thank you for that!

Bone broth, glucosamine, magnesium, vitamin C. Also keeping a close eye on sugar intake, foam rolling and regular stretching. Doing exercises that are easy on the joints is also helpful. If you can't run, cycle! 🚲 💕

Same as Katsolo. I am not going to elaborate on my condition but I have found that trigger point and dry needling done by my physical therapist work wonders. I also have a few home techniques to relax fascia. Self massage and pressure point techniques.You want to focus on strengthening the muscles around the joints from a non weight bearing method. Shoes shoes shoes make sure you wear the right ones.

I have degenerative spinal Stenosis in my low back, and osteoarthritis in my left knee but symptoms are developing my right knee. I use UC-2(aka UC-II) by doctors best. Its a form of collagen that can help your joints. It made a huge difference to me. If i dont take it, i start to have pain. I will dissolve plain, unflavored collagen into my coffee or tea. I also recommend a chiropractor too.
