3/20 - fasting blood sugar is 6.8 mmol/L

Just woke up & having my first sips of coffee realizing I can't see properly thru my reading glasses...lol...cleans the fingerprints off and whoa, I can see again.

7.5 hrs sleep with only one one wake-up throughout is good for me. Still listening to Relaxed Mind's "Complete Restoration | Healing Body, Mind And Spirit | Increase Brain Power | 741 Hz" on YouTube. This one works for me.

I'm thinking I might make a batch of Chocolate Chip cookies later today. I was able to buy Lily's stevia sweetened baking chips at the market & paid a gawd awful price for them too (approx 11 CAD). I really must get on my own bandwagon and start making these sorts of items myself. *Adds it to my never-ending list of items to reinvent in recipe form*. We'll see...

I Wish you all an inspiring week for both yourself and others.
Peace.

I'm curious what a 'normal' fasting blood sugar number is. I had gestational diabetes and I think mine had to be around 5? But I know it's lower than a non pregnant number. It's been over 9 years so I don't remember exactly either, haha. I learned a lot of interesting things during that time though!

A normal non-diabetic fasting number is in the range of 4.0 to 5.5 mmol/L or 72 to 99 mg/dL and after 2 hours after a meal is under 7.8 mmol/L or 140 mg/dL.

Yes that sounds right! I remember panicking once after eating chicken nuggets and fries from McDonalds and got a number over 8, haha. Even though it wasn't that much over I freaked out. My grandma gets numbers in the 20s regularly 😬😬😬

Wow...the closest I ever got was back when I was still drinking alcohol (2012'ish) and I pushed my bs number to 19 drinking all those "sugar" shots.

Oh yikes, that's no good! Yes her diabetes is totally out of control, it's awful. She loves her sweets. I know she's on multiple different things to try to control it but she's definitely not helping her situation with how she eats. And she doesn't like to exercise so she just doesn't. But I have to tell myself she's an adult, she knows the consequences of her actions. She's had a good long life and if she wants to eat the cake and shorten what she has left that's her choice 🤷‍♀️
