HAPPY FRIDAY!
90 lbs gone.
Gee, another pound down. Funny, there are times I seem to almost stall and then it's like we're off to the races again. I've been thinking those were my set-point weights? Or my body is just adjusting. I also seem to do very well with high fats and eating when I'm hungry instead of a hard fast rule. And yes, coconut oil is my friend! I also eat slow and watch my portion sizes. Sometimes I'm full before I finish my meal and that's ok. I just put what's left away for later.
This week, I had melted some coconut oil, added unsweetened cocoa, some vanilla and stevia and put it in the frig. Deeee-LISH!! I had to order more coconut oil so I'll be making more. It's like candy that satisfies that craving and keeps my fat intake up. It's great to nibble with my coffee or tea. I'm thinking of adding a wee bit of chopped walnuts and unsweetened coconut some time.
All I know is it's SO GREAT to have my blood sugar in better control that I now I can add some milk and fruit back into my diet without severe reprocussions (sp). But then that's the whole idea, which is why I'm so excited! I'm not spiking so bad and my morning blood sugar runs anywhere from about 90-108 which last year if I ate anything over 20 carbs my blood sugar would be over 125 in the mornings, so YES, this is progress.
Well, I must get to town today before the long 4th weekend as there won't be any more bus service until the 5th.
