I know I can't be alone in my fascination with the almighty scale. I can't seem to stop myself from jumping on often. Any advice? Should I hide it? Throw it out the window?

I broke my scale habit when my batteries ran out and I didn't replace them! Lol. I would recommend putting it somewhere uncommon, where it's more of a conscious decision to weigh in rather than an easy thing to do. Like, if it's in your bathroom, move it to your garage. You're more likely to weigh yourself every time you go in your bathroom if it's right there, but if it's in your garage you have to physically go out there to weigh in. Hope that helps!

Goggle an article titled "Why the Scale Lies" to learn why it is less important to weigh and more important to use a tape measure or your clothes to see progress.

Try to only weigh yourself once a day and never ever at any other time then the morning. If it is ups pound or two if you ate late in the evening move on. PUT a SIGN UP IN BIG BOLD FONT….with a DANGER WEIGHT. If your norm is 140….a danger weight can be 145…..when you see that DANGER weight you must S T O P Keep a food journal on a place that DETAILS nutrients…. I use CRONOMETER. NUTRIENTS are important!!!

I know the scale isn't supposed to be important, but I can't help myself. I'm not the most patient person, either... @Raidersfan, I'm trying to weight myself once a week instead of daily. I do weigh only in the morning. @Eden6 What a great idea! I think I'll move the scale to the laundry room. I don't go there as often as I should... haha!
