finished my 2nd successful 3 mile run today in 26:38. not bad for not being a long distance person. c25k is such a great program. preparing for my firefighter physical fitness coming up in the future. Did the mile and a half in 12:49 so thats good cause its below 13min but i really need to keep pushing that faster... Starting insanity on monday along with my running and biking programs!! Im ready to kick more ass and finally reach my goal weight of 190. Not sure what I am at now, ill weigh in friday but i hope its around 200.

Nice Job man!!! What is C25k? I'be been wanting to add a 10k to my bucket list but I have zoned trained for soooo long, I have no idea how to run long distance. I got two speeds...All Out and Pass out.

C25k is couch 2 5k program where you start out and do interval running to build up your total endurance so that you can complete a 5k program by week 9. so i have completed that and am looking to continue building on that. im just not sure how much insanity is going to wear me out before i do my run. any thoughts?

Insanity will actually help. My brother in-law used Insanity for his training on a 10k or Half Marathon. And he felt it really helped take him to the next level until he smashed his ankle snow boarding. So lesson learned, no late spring snowboarding for him next year.
