livia89's Journal, 27 Jan 15

I may sound like a kid right now, but here it is. I feel guilty. Today all my thoughts went to blaming myself for the weight I've gained over the past few years. Why did I allow myself to gain so much, when I know how stressful and shameful is for me to realize I must lose weight, and then start all over again? What if indeed, my scale is showing less than what I weight, and I might weight more, like my flatmate said? Why am I still eating rice? Why, why, why?

Aw bogus, I hope I'll feel better after today's workout. My visualization of things highly depends on that. My motivation is going to the floor very easily. And my patience is running out with the speed of light. Need to bust the move, faster than this...

You can do it! Motivation is one of the most important things, at least for me. I have a 'goal' board hanging on a wall by my desk for inspiration... just cork with different magazine images pinned to it

Probably all of us can look back at the things we did that brought us to the point needing to lose weight and get healthier. The past is done and over with, any shame or guilt is tied to that and none of it can be un-done so there's no use in hanging on to it. The great news is the future is an open book and each of us have a lot of control over what gets written on the pages. Each day is a new day and a new start if we want it to be. Make today your new start, you can do it, one day at a time. :)

You are not even fat Livia, I am sure many people around you think that you look great. You don't need to feel guilty, just keep leading a healthy lifestyle and that will lead you to your goal weight.

I'm right there with you. Got up feeling the same way. This will pass and we'll be better on the other end if we just ignore our little brats inside and keep focus and faith that what we doing is going to work and is great for a better us.. in a month, a year, a lifetime. Hang in there.. if you will, I will too!!

Thank you guys for the nice words of encouragement. I did my workout later on and feel much better emotionally also. I need to accept my body, pretty much, and I don't want to sound like a hypocrite, because I know some people have more to lose than me. It's just that sometimes frustration kicks in, because I made it one time but then didn't consider it important to maintain the weight. Aw well, lesson learned :) Thank you all again, I feel lucky to have received all these messages of understanding and support.
