Great Job Kathy! Why not try a green salad or mashed cauliflower with the pasta sauce instead of penne? try it for one dinner. I steam the cauliflower and then put it in the food processor, then i add the homemade pasta sauce over my plate and mix it up and i just don't miss the pasta! it's a great substitute and you won't feel so bloated, especially if you are having it in the evening. and another hint is to avoid taking pasta in the evenings...if you crave pasta have it for lunch and a salad in the evening. Have you started cooking a roast? It will provide good protein and better than deli meat. Turkey breast meat is readily available nowadays and if you buy a 2 pound breast and roast it at 325 degrees with a little bit of white wine and rosemary in the dish and sprinkled over with pepper and salt, will cook in 1 hour. Wrap in foil when done and leave to cool on a plate...you can then put in fridge or slice it up ready for use, once cool! it's great on the go food and is really low in calories! Try it!the quicker you say no to processed foods (cheese, pancakes, choc chip cookies, penne etc) the weighing scale will start moving...only when you're ready though...it has to be your decision!

Tuesday's are my daughter's night to choose dinner and that is what she wanted. She ate most of the penne and I had mostly veggies.

granted, but 340g of pasta is a big portion and i was thinking this is what is not making the weighing scale move....again, i say you cannot eat like your 4 year old if you want to lose weight so you can either limit yourself to 50g of pasta or take up substitutes...you both have different dietary requirements!please don't take offense, but I used to eat all my kid's leftovers or cook to their liking and that's when the weight started piling up... they can take 9 nuggets and chips and be skin thin but it doesn't work for me, just sayin'. Are you going to move your RDI from 2100?
