This was a superdupertruper week!!
I stopped smoking (again, but this time for ever!!) on tuesday evening. Monday and tuesday I went running again, and it worked so I decided to try the half marathon though I still cough a lot in the mornings.
Yesterday I ran my first half marathon! It was crazy. I experienced a so called runners high. I can't imagine what else it was. I ran with a friend and I was so fit and happy, talking, singing doing silly things and laughing while running. At km 20 I started to sing along with a band. And suddently we were at the finish line. I was like: "That is it? Did we just run a half marathon????" My pulse was as usual, which means that I usually couln't talk a lot at that rate (178-185, my maximum pulse is at ~210). But yesterday? I was like a maniac singing at a pulse of 185! :D I am sure, that this had to do with me not smoking for 5 days!
the bottom line of my week: I am very very very happy and pretty proud of myself!
