I am sooooooo hungry and lethargic. I think my body is in a shock from the lack of carbs. I have been carbo-loading for years as if I was a marathon runner. And a marathon runner I am not. I really hope that my carb cravings will go away soon... I haven't even gone a whole day yet. I'm starving! Isn't meat supposed to be more filling than carbs?

I just posted in your other post and sent you a great link also. Try getting protien from other scources and also add some healthy allowable carb with it. For example, cottage cheese with half a grapefruit, or a tablespoon of natural or low fat peanut butter with a slice of apple. Of course in phase 1 you can not have those fruits, but it would be a better option than going with those potato chips and candy bars. There are other options in phase 1, just post another journal asking people for good ideas to get you through it. Let them know what you are craving specifically and they'll give you great ideas!

if chocolate is your thing..there are things that will help. Im not a chocolate person so I dont remember what they are. I have ideas if you miss things like Mexican food so just let us know what you crave and we'll help ya out.

Eat protein in the morning - peanut butter, lean ham slices, a boiled egg. Eat lots of vegetables in the morning. I remember my Phase I days when I read that a South Beach actually ate a giant SALAD for breakfast. I tried that and it was hard on my stomach - if you know what I mean. Eventually - you will de-toxify your body and you will feel great! DON'T GIVE UP. Eat MORE of the healthy stuff. Let me know how you feel once you do that! Keep the faith!

One more thing. The FRESH foods are filling. Raw foods. Celery, four kinds of lettuce, carrots, radishes, tomatoes, cucumbers, and such.
