Sometimes I think my body has done all it can do and there will not be anymore weight to lose. This can't really be true. I don't know what I am doing but no change, still 183. Maybe I am exercising to much? Maybe not the right kind? I dunno.

I am just browsing the site and came across your journal entry. I started at 222 lbs and now 2 yrs later I am at 176. I follow weight watchers and work out 6 days a week. Here's what I found... When you work out, you have to eat more in order for the weight to still come off and lastly, the closer you are to your goal weight, the longer it seems to take to get there. Keep with it, you'll push thru this plateau. Good Luck

Thanks. I should try to focus on the 71lbs I have lost and not the amount I have left.

What you are feeling is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NORMAL!!!!! Oh my goodness gracious, land sakes alive!!!!! EVERY SINGLE TIME my weight loss slows down I start to think ... "what if this is it?" (with a panicked tone to my voice and scrunched up eyebrows for emphasis). Well, my dear, what if it is it? So what? Would you rather maintain at 183 or at the 254 or whatever it was when you initially started back in October? You HAVE lost this weight fairly quickly, especially considering the PCOS. You might not be thrilled with the idea of maintaining at 183 but it certainly would not be the end. BESIDES ....... listen closely now ........ YOU WILL CONTINUE TO LOSE. You will. It might not fly off as rapidly as you like but you will continue to "shrink". Every morning I basically think the same thing you are thinking today!! LOL!!! A silly girl I am!!! So, focus on something else. Eat well. That means feed your body when it is hungry some good food!!! Exercise when you can. (in-between chasing 4 beautiful little girls around!!) And relish the progress you've made!!! I am so proud of you. Your progress encourages me!!! The plateau will break ... and another will come. Some day you and I both will be writing on here about maintenance ... what a great day to look forward to.

Thanks. I know you are right and I too ask myself that same question this morning, So what if this is where I end up? And the answer was So what if I do. I mean I am of average height and weight now. I'm not huge like I was at 254. I am out of the 2's. Tons of people are in the 180's. It is so much better than 250's for me. I know it will come off eventually. And if you look at my chart it seems like it is consistent. Thanks for the support. I guess I am just afraid of staying here because if I do gain weight I am afraid it will be right back to 254 I go.

Yes ... I know what you mean. I have the exact same fears. But ... listen ... we won't gain it back. We are here to support each other so that we will learn how to maintain and live more fully!!
