Is anyone else finding that this app seems to push you to do more processed food because then it’s easier to find the calories of a meal? Unless what I’m making is very simple and very western food it’s almost impossible to add to my calories

I had trouble with this too. You can add the ingredients in your recipe to the food diary list, then enter your recipe in the Cookbook. I had to guess at the number of servings to enter the recipe, then go back later and edit them so it was accurate. It’s a bit of a hassle to be sure, but you only have to do it once. The next time you have that item, enter it right from the cookbook into your food diary. It took me a while to see how to do all of this and the first time it took me six attempts. I almost gave up! But now it’s easy. Still takes a long time to enter each recipe though. But to me it is worth it. Good luck!

Not really... I find processed food is a much bigger problem. Been eating fatoush salad from a local Mediterranean shop, no idea what’s in it - but at home, when I make a Greek Salad, I know exactly how many tomatoes, green peppers, feta, olive oil and olives go in... so scratch meals I find rather simple.

I actually like creating the recipes and seeing the nutritional info, is that just me? It really helps me think about how to modify some meals I love to make them healthier and more importantly to think about potion size, which has always been an issue for me to manage.

I rarely eat processed food, I've added a ton of recipes from Pinterest to my list of "new foods"

I find it hard to add anything to the app. Though I am using my iPhone and the free version which may be the reason

for home made meals I usually add up the different ingredients one by one with estimated measurements (should get a scale). it'll give u a rough estimate of the amount of calories, fat, etc.
