BLC77's Journal, 03 Mar 09

I AM SO FRUSTRATED. I finally thought I was heading in the right direction and for no good reason my weight has ballooned up right back to where I have been stuck for weeks. I am so sick at looking at my fat blobby self. The futility of weeks of dieting is really pissing me off. Before you ask, no I have not changed what I have been eating, I fill out my food journal at home religiously I don't always put it on here. I eat 1200 calories a day and no I don't load up on carbs.

BLC we are here to help not to demotivate you further, with your journal you seem to be very defensive before anyone has even commented!!! What sort of exercise are you doing? How much water do you drink? Have you seen a pattern of weight increase / decrease that you can see where a problem maybe?????

I am not defensive, I just know that the last time I expressed my frustration I got a barrage of questions regarding what my caloric intake is, if I was eating too many carbs etc. etc. that is why I put that in. I figured instead of answering the same questions over again I would disclose the necessary info. I could definitely be exercising more but when I was doing my five day a week plan I was GAINING and it was very demotivating so now I only do 3 times a week. I make sure to drink the 6-8 glasses of water today and I drink at least two green teas a day. I am going to my doctor today to see if I can cut my calories back further.

From looking at your chart, you don't have a lot of weight to lose. Your best bet might be eating as clean as possible and exercise (both cardio and strength training. Exercise doesn't make you gain weight, unless you are a body builder. When you get sore muscles, your muscles have tears and water replaces them to help them heal. This can lead to a temporary gain on the scale. By exercising, you can stay the same weight, but go down in sizes. Eventually, the exercise will all pay off but it takes patience. I know it's not easy, keep trying different things till you find what works.

Oh trust me I have A LOT of weight to lose, I just do it in smaller increments goal wise so I don't feel completely hopeless. After visiting my Dr. today he upped my thyroid medication and said to keep on keepin' on so lets hope that works.
