Dinner was a red stew with hot sausage, onions, garlic. I believe that the reason am losing so slowly, is that I am eating too many calories. I believe the recommend daily calories are way to high. Going to adjust.

I'm glad you said that. When I put my RDI at 1300, I started to lose at a steady pace. For my height, weight and activity level, I needed to be at a lot fewer calories per day. I hope it works out for you, too.
