Last week I got a Fitbit Flex. I'm pretty impressed by this little "not a watch" device and its done a good job at keeping me motivated to stay on plan, drink more water and definitely move my ass a lot more. The device syncs with my WiFi scale and a fun, intuitive website they've created that allows you to do essentially everything you can do with FS, but as a fledgling, not as robust. It lacks the well developed food database that FS has and at this point, you still can't scan barcodes. Since I'm not partaking of a lot of packaged foods at this stage of the game, the barcode thing isn't killing me. I'll continue to keep a weight record here weekly, but for now, I'm gonna be over at the Fitbit site more than here.

I recently bought a withings body scan scale and a withings pulse (similar to the fitbit line) to go along with it. Very similar experience as with yours. I have found I love using the Withings site that goes with my scale/pulse for tracking everything except food. I still like fatsecret for the support and just add my weights here too. I am horrible logging food.

Funny that you post this and I get an email from Sports Authority advertising the Fitbit, so I went there after reading reviews and talked to one of the employees about it. I was torn between the Flex and the Loop and when he showed me a comparison chart I liked what the Fitbit Flex offered more than the Loop. I'll be setting it up this evening and start using it first thing tomorrow!
