jsfantome's Journal, 15 Jan 11

Had a fantastic day! Spent time w/ my daughter (25) today...and had bkfst out. Broc and Cheese omelette! YUM.

Then home to find out my freezer (very old, chest style) DIED! Oh boy! I couldn't be happier!!! I live in a 200 yr old house. And everything in it is OLD! The freezer was OLD. The refrigerator is an old style w/ no freezer in it! It's all OLD. And my husband asked me years ago ...when I would whine and get upset about how ugly they were, and how dysfunctional they were...and how I just sooooo wanted a new refrigerator...well, he asked me to wait, until one of them DIED...and then we would go shopping and I could get whatever I wanted!

Well - TODAY was the DAY!!! Oh, Glory Be...I am in 7th Heaven! I am getting a new REFRIGERATOR...and a new DISHWASHER...and I truly LOVE them both!!! Can you love a refrigerator? Yes, 'cause I do!!!

15 years I have waited...and waited...and I am sooo happy, I could just BURST!!!

Will take some before pics, and some after pics next weekend when they are delivered...YAHOOOOOOOO!!!

OH HAPPY DAY!

Good for you Paula. They aren't only disfunctional, they eat up a LOT of electricity when old. Happy you are finally getting some new appliances. Have fun.:)

I know that feeling, just got a new upright freezer for our basement. Was afraid the old one in the garage was going to go out over the holidays and we had just stocked it. Extra bonus, getting in some additional stair climbing as a result. LOL :) Still using the fridge part of the old one so can't commit that oldie to the junk pile just yet. I think I will get a small fridge only and put it down in the basement next to the freezer when I finally do get rid of that dang 25 year old junker!

Paula, your happy excited jumping burst makes me happy, too! So, are you going to choose a white one or colored one? That's so nice of him that you can choose whatever YOU want! Enjoy your shopping & happy Sunday evening to you:)
