DeliriumTrigger's Journal, 10 Feb 21

I've been back to tracking my food for a little over 2 weeks now! I'm still avoiding the scale and just focusing on keeping my calories in a lower range. I'm averaging around 1450/ day. Eventually I would like to shift back to 1200 but that honestly might not happen until late spring. Winter makes me exhausted and sluggish and cutting my calories to 1200 or less will just make that worse.

I did not track anything on superbowl Sunday but I didn't go too crazy either. I definitely ate more than normal - some Girl Scout cookies, pizza, chips and queso and wings. I'm pleased to say one "bad" day didn't become a bad week. That's progress for me!

I've also been trying to eat more during the day and having smaller dinners. That's the opposite of what I used to do and I find it's helping me keep from feeling hangry or run down at work. Huge salads for dinner give me the "big meal" satisfaction without the excess calories. I'm also trying to just snack on air-fryer apples or mini peppers with cream cheese after work instead of searching the pantry for things like cookies, cereal or chips. My boyfriend is tall, athletic and eats like a teenage boy so there's always tempting snacks in the house.

If you guys have any simple, low cal air fryer snacks or meals you love, please feel free to share!

And just for fun, here's a picture from Sunday in my Chiefs gear and the cute snack platters and cupcakes my sister made. I'm hoping to have lost 20-30 pounds by the time football season comes back around and I can use this as a before photo!

I tried consuming 1,200 calories per day before, and I didn’t lose much weight. Now, I’m consuming 1,200 calories per day, but I’m spreading it out over six meals (w/10 grams protein per meal), drinking over a gallon of water per day, and moving more. This has helped, and I’m finally seeing results. 🎉 Best of luck to you!

Thank you guys, you are all so sweet! I get a 20 minute break at work every hour and twenty minutes. I eat something small on every break to prevent the ate-too-much post lunch crash and I find it helps me stay focused if I'm not "starving" and thinking about food.

I was going to type out a recipe for an air fryer meal but rather then that try this. YouTube search a YouTube a guy named Remington James. He puts out incredible recipes multiple times a week and he uses air fryers a lot. He gives you all the calorie counts and macros as well. I used his recipes the last time I was cutting weight and made it soooo much easier then my typical diets I have used.
