I relaxed totally this weekend, first time since starting the Challenge on Jan 3rd. No exercise, a different mindset when eating (although I still managed to keep within my daily caloric limits), I just didn't eat the healthiest I could have.

When I decided to buy some wine when I went grocery shopping, I knew I'd enjoy a few glasses, which is empty calories; fortunately I dilute it with several ice cubes, and I didn't have any dinner, so the lack of that meal made up for the fact that I was drinking the wine. Don't intend to do this often, but for some reason, felt it was time to fall back for an evening.

Have to get really busy in the next few weeks, get my taxes filed and sent off pronto--no chance of waiting until the last minute. I've been given the opportunity to go on a VIP Cruise the first of March for 8 days. All expenses paid (except for shore excursions and what souvenirs I might want), so I need to put a few extra dollars in the account to cover any expenditures.

Have the MIL taken care of for the time I'm gone, so no worries there. Asked my niece to go with, as both the girls will be busy with finals when the cruise is on and my oldest can't get the time away from work. Mom is pretty active, but there's still a lot of walking involved on shore excursions, plus she has surgery scheduled for right in the middle of the cruise, so can't reschedule. Darn, I really wanted to take my Mom, it would have been a kick, but just not to be. Maybe another time.

Tomorrow's Monday. Time to put the nose back to the grindstone and get back into it. It did feel good when I got dressed to go grocery shopping and the next size down jeans that I put on were more than comfy. Yet another notch in on the belt. Yay!!!
