Temporarily I’m to use gabapentin and Advil to reduce inflammation and pain. They work well starting about two hours after taking them and last around 3-4 hours after they start working. If the adjustment doesn’t help and I’m still hurting early to mid week I need to call her and probably go in again. I believe the next step is more imaging or physical therapy. If that doesn’t work then surgery. That’s per my dr. However online says we could also try steroid shots. My chiropractor said he thinks he can help me deal with the pain with monthly adjustments and making my massage appointments closer together (I currently go every 6-10 weeks). Loosening the muscles will create less pulling on the vertebrae. Adjustment first then massage to make sure my neck and upper spine vertebrae stay in place.

Also found out today that my great aunts shoulder surgery a few years ago was due to arthritis and she was diagnosed at age 42 after years of pain. Both of her siblings have it as well and my great grandma. Chances are I’ll have it or already do since I’m 39. My great aunt also has several bone spurs and narrowing on her spine but they told her it was inoperable.

Thanks Diana. Have you broken a bone? The pain is similar to right at the point you break a bone and the hour after. I can handle pain but turns out I can’t handle a constant pain for days on end lol. Meds are working about 12 hours a day though and 8 of those I’m awake. I can deal with that ;).

60pack thanks and sorry to hear that! Those are lower back correct? Is it because you drive a truck? A friend drives a semi and she says her back hurts a lot. These meds can hurt the liver and tummy too but I’m hoping I won’t be on them long. I’m hoping massages and adjustments will work.

Is there an operative solution that has been suggested?

can you get your hands on a TENS device? really helped me get through the back stuff and that was the kind of pain where I had to tell my neighbors "I hurt my back, don't call 911, everything's fine unless I cry repeatedly for help". of course we live 6 feet apart and no one closes windows around here either. but seriously, try one in between chiropractor visits, I was amazed how far they've come. I got two, the second one cost all of $29 on woot/amazon. I skipped most of the drugs

So sorry to read this peeper. Nothing worse than constant pain. I know it all too well, had major back surgery when I was only 14 and I still remember the pain said it was today. 😩 Praying you find the answer. Have to say though, through all your health stuff, you cope and stay positive. Fight on girl!! ❤️💪🏻🙏

Thanks guys! Wifey I have my negative moments. But nobody likes to hear it lol. I find it’s better to laugh about stuff when possible. @Kat I’ll look into it. Never heard of anything like that. @Kenna we haven’t talked surgery yet. I told her I want to try everything else first. A friend had her spine fused and now is severely limited on what she can do or even how far she can turn her head. My aunt has similar to me and was told inoperable but I’m not sure if it’s the same vertebrae or not. @60 sad to hear that. That nerve hurts when pinched! My right one gets aggravated occasionally and my leg hurts then goes numb. Hard to walk on it lol. Hope you find a solution to yours. Would some sort of cushion in the truck seat help?
