I used to lose so quickly now Ifeel a little down because I am really following this thing and it doesn't seem to want move! I am feeling a bit discouraged at the moment. This is like my 5th week. Everyone thinks I am depriving myself but I really want to get down to 135. what to do what to do.???????

My dear, if you log all your food, we can better help you. If you are logging it all you need to eat more!!! I know it is the opposite of what we have learned, but I dieted and starved myself up 100 lbs. Now I eat twice as much and am losing. You need to cut the carbs and throw out the popcorn. The bars may be a problem, they are for a lot of people. Try to cut that sweet tooth habit and just eat whole foods. I forgot to check your veggies, but make sure you eat them, 12 - 15 g net. You need to get down to that 20 net carbs (and stay there) to put yourself in ketosis and burning fat. You know we are here for you, look at how successful the gang on our forum have been. And since you dont have much to lose, it will be slower for you, dont get discouraged, just follow the plan and it will work out, here for you, janet

Hi, I agree with FF. That popcorn is not on the approved list of foods for Induction. It will prevent you from getting into ketosis. Ditto with the Atkins bars. I would suggest that you review the Induction Basics thread in our group so you can get a handle on the Induction rules. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have more questions. helen

Hi Missel and welcome to the SMART forum. We're all on a journey together and I know exactly how you are feeling, if you can take a look at my weightloss chart - I've been so dissappointed, but hung in there and today there was a slight movement in the scales. It really is a voyage of discovery, finding out what makes some things work and other things not. Have you been on Atkins before? A few years ago I was and I've read that your body 'remembers' and is making allowances for this as the body's job is to conserve. Bit like if we don't eat enough our body shuts down and goes into starvation mode. Keep with it, keep having a tweak here and there to see what works and what doesn't and let's see what happens next week. Have a great day!
