ShyGuy's Journal, 16 Jul 13

I know I haven't been on here, much, this summer, but like most of us,I'm busy going through ups and downs with my eating. I stay focused as much as possible, but have gotten off track with my measuring, and weighing everything out. I haven't gotten crazy with it, but because of economic reasons, I've had to focus more on just getting something on the table, three times a day, and some higher carb choices have had to be included. This is only a temporary setback, and will likely change in the coming weeks. :-) It is what it is; but at least I'm not starving.

ShyGuy, first of all I am so happy to see you here again. About the foods, I have added more good carbs to my woe. I love lentils and other beans (dry, so easy to prepare). They are great for filling us up with not so many calories. Now I am watching my calories closer and allowing more of the carbs than I did at one time. This seems to work well and adjust me to more "normal" eating. I do stay away from refined carbs, sugar and processed foods for the most part. I still allow myself Dreamfield Pasta, Julian #1 reformulated low carb bread. They've improved what they had recently, 4 carbs, 60 calories. I have that sometimes for a snack with 1 tbs. of sugar free Adams peanut butter. It really helps when I feel like snacking on something. You will be right back, I know it. I have never known you not to succeed. God bless you my friend, without whom I'd never have come here, and who has helped me so much. Thank you!

Thanks for the encouragement ladies. :-) In Psalm 23, it talks about us having to go through some valleys, in life, but I'm thankful, that God is faithful, to get us through them all. :-)
