I'm so glad this weekend is over! It was a party filled weekend - one birthday party and a Girl Scout celebration. I tried not to overdo it. I didn't eat alot...but what I did eat wasn't great, and I just couldn't stay away from the cake! Saturday I didn't even try to figure the calorie count on what I ate - it was a lot of homemade appetizers in sauces. On Sunday I THOUGHT I didn't do too bad...who knew those little ribs would be so much! I was also PMSing so today I'm just feeling a little BLAH. But the weekend is over and I'm back on track. I started so hopefully that'll shed a couple pounds, and I'm just going to drink a TON of water!

Weekends like this are always so hard. I know I have indulged in them myself. The only thing I can suggest at least for the deserts is bringing a snack like cheesecake yogurt to satisfy your sweet tooth and if you just can't say no, eat the yogurt first and then maybe end with a small bite of cake and hopefully it can trick your mind into thinking you just had a big piece. Just a thought. I have done this before and it worked for me.

One of the guests is Vegan, and my friend bought her the Soy ice cream sandwiches from Trader Joe's (which I love!). I should have eaten that instead! I really probably could have said no, but for some reason I made the dumb decision to eat the cake. That's what did me in I think. Next time my goal is to pass it up. I've done it before! Thanks for the comments!
