It's my 2-week weigh in day and I was pleasantly surprised. It's more of a drop than I expected.
I have less than 20 lbs now to go before I hit my goal of 120. Although it has been a long trip, I can definitely see the end now. Coming from 271 lbs to even here has been very rewarding for me as far as my quality of life goes.
Thanks to everyone on FS who has supported me along the way. I couldn't have made it this far without y'all.

Hey Newgrl! Just ditto on so many of these other comments here. I’m normally the most unemotional dude I know but when I think I’ve had a crappy day I come here to relax. And I see you with organ transplant, and 271 to 138! (Lump on my throat) Who are you? Superwoman or what? So much respect.... Be blessed today! 🙏✝️

Wow! I started at 273 about 2.5 months ago and have lost 37 lbs. How long did it take you to go from 271 to 120? I want to get to 150 or 160 and I’m wondering about how long that will take. Did you do this by diet and exercise alone? Was it a 1200 cal diet? Sorry so many questions but we were about The Same weight when we started and you have done so great that you are my hero! 😁

How many calories did you start out eating and how many are you eating now? I’m doing 1200 and wondering if that’s too low and maybe I should do 1400? I’m 235 right now.

Hey Sally. I started this calorie deficient diet on August 21, 2018. I made sure that everything I put in my mouth got written down. I bought a kitchen scale and good measuring cups and used them (and figured out my guestimating was waaaaay off.) At 271, I could barely walk up and down the 4 stairs on my front porch, so there was no way my body was going to do that motion over and over again to exercise, so I put exercise on the back burner and concentrated on my diet. I allowed myself 1800 calories at first. That lasted for about 3 or 4 months, then, when I quit losing weight, I brought it down to 1500. At this point, I still allow myself 1500, but I really get nowhere near that. I average about 1250 to 1300 a day over a month. I do not weigh in daily as the ups and downs of a normal person's body weight would discourage me. Every two weeks seemed like a good compromise.
