I ran 1.19 miles in 20 mins....it was more half jog/walk. I have a goal in mind of 2 miles in 20 mins. I want to run a 5K this summer, so I know I'll have to improve on my goal once I reach it to 3 miles and a set time.

Just keep it up and I'm sure you'll do great at that 5K! I'm not a runner at all, but I think it's great to have that goal of a 5K, it gives you something to work for. I may have to try to become a runner this summer, so I can try a 5K.

Thanks! I'm by no means a runner. And trying for the first time in years today was a little disapointing, but I guess everyone starts somewhere. :)

I think 1.19 miles in 20 minutes is commendable, especially since you've been out of the habit for so long. And I agree with mars2kids, keep up your training and you will blaze through that 5K!
