You might want to try something for energy. The time between your workouts is a great time to take in some of those "bad" carbs. Protein is good to maintain muscle, but without some carbs to help the insulin uptake, it won't get to your muscles. Any good carbs will take too long to absorb to do you any good. Try a whey protein shake (easily absorbed) or a 1/2 a whey protein energy bar.
