Ok, I have joined and weight loss community, I have a friend who will go to the gym with me. I'm feeling good. Excited about the futureand the idea of FINALLY getting back to being me!!

Hello! I also just joined today--not really sure what to expect. I have been trying (and I use the term loosely!) to lose weight on my own and just could not do it, so I have joined Weight Watchers. I started 4/1/08. I have lost a little over 7 pounds. Some days I am so excited and think I am doing such a great job. Other days I feel like it is a hopeless battle (although a few people I know have lost about 100 pounds over the last few years--not sure what they did to lose, though. I do see that it is "do-able" I guess...and I know the weight did come on slowly--over many years, so I guess as long as I'm going down at all is a possible thing.

I know how you feel, I try to remember that the weight didnt appear overnight. gosh how I wish it would disappear overnight though :)I actually started deiting with the New Year. It goes up then down then up again cause i havent really commited myself. Now though i really am trying, have even joined gym. (though I have only gone one full week once since joining there just arent enough hours in the day sometimes)I hate who i have become and really want to find me again.

I know what you mean about not enough hours in the day. I am trying to make more time. Not sure if you have tried wearing a pedometer. I was shocked at first to see how few steps I took most days. Having the pedometer, makes me more aware so I try getting in a few extra steps. Now that the weather is getting nicer, I am going to walk home when I am at my regular work location. If I don't walk home, then I will take the dog for a walk or get on the treadmill. Glad you have someone to go to the gym with you. Not sure that I could find the time for that as I would put other things in the way. I do have to get home though so will pass on my ride and walk the hour. Good luck.
