I am sorry to hear about your friend. I hope he recuperates soon. It is tough wanting to help someone out when they do not want to help themselves. We can only do so much. Props to you for wanting to. Maybe you could give him a little push in the right direction?

That is sad but I don't think you can do anything, he is in denial and until he is ready to change there is nothing you can do. Hopefully he will.

There is nothing you can do. A person has to want to make a change. Hopefully, he will see the light and change. Just be a supportive friend.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend. Hopefully you can be an inspiration for him to change. I would encourage him to make small changes to start and hopefully that will lead to other ones.

Lead by example - say nothing but show how well you are doing and that may motivate him to healthy choices!

I have a friend that is much like your friend. She hasn't had a heart attack, but she has many health issues with one of them being diabetes that she doesn't take care of. I harp at her sometimes and it hasn't changed her habits. She knows what she needs to do and I certainly know how difficult it is to start a weight loss program. All you and I can do is pray for them and hope they make changes before their lives end early. I wish I knew of a way to get through to my friend, but everything that I've tried hasn't made an impression.
