When I first started Atkins, I went on a 3 wk trip to Alabama for my Mom to visit her sisters. They are not doing the greatest, so we are going back for a 6 wk visit this summer. I'll be leaving in a few days...but will be on and off FS while I am down there, so most of you should not even notice. (won't be absent - just maybe not every day.)
Thinking back, I was only 3 wks into Atkins, and I fell hard off this program and gained back everything I initially lost during the 3 wk trip. (basically, I ate whatever...and thought I will just pick up where I left off when I got back). WRONG! This WOE doesn't work that way. (but I didn't know that then). I DO NOW...and this trip will be entirely different.
I am kinda excited about it - as my cousin has been doing this plan with me all along. (well, her own version of it) but she is stalled out and has asked me to help her get things moving again. She has given me permission to revamp her kitchen, fridge, her meals, shopping, exercise, daily routine, etc... she really wants to get her weight down, but more importantly, she wants to learn to live this as a lifestyle. She is so excited I am coming... ME TOO! We will be able to do this together - and I am confident after just a few tweaks - she will be on the road to steady loss.
